Rosewood Mayakoba

We're looking at going (possibly) to the Rosewood Mayakoba next year. We've been to the area lots before, but always an all inclusive. We're kind of tired of the same old experience that we've had at various all inclusive resorts in the area and want to try something with better service, better food, and besides we don't usually find all inclusive the best deal for us, as we're nondrinkers. If you've been there before, I'd love some advice. I've read through the Tripadvisor reviews but am looking for more specific information.

What is a good rate for a standard room. We're seeing $600+tax as pretty much the standard for low season/non peak times. Other than the Rosewood website, have/did you find any good deals elsewhere?

If you booked transfers through them, any comments on that?

On the website, you can choose to prepackage your 3 daily (or fewer) meals. Will doing this leave us with fewer options on the menu? Was it a good deal? If we don't prepackage our meals, how much should we budget daily for buffet breakfast + lunch with a (nonalcoholic) drink + dinner with appetizer/salad and maybe a dessert and nonalcoholic drink? Per person.

I've read that some of the suites come with butler service. I've heard they offer reservations and room tours, but what else do butlers do?

Thanks!
