"People talk about escapism as if it's a bad thing... Once you've escaped, once you come back, the world is not the same as when you left it. You come back to it with skills, weapons, knowledge you didn't have before. Then you are better equipped to deal with your current reality."
- Neil Gaiman

The Golem and the Jinni was #25 for the year.
I'm still reading The Wolf of Wall Street. Ah, I'm so torn about this book. I have about 100 pages left. I have a thing for addiction stories, and that is completely what this has become. In that way, it's entertaining and has kept me reading. The difference is that this guy has more money that he knows what to do with, and is such an arrogant dick, I just hate him. Even when he occasionally has moments of clarity, I still just hate him so much. And the writing is atrocious.
These are #s 15 and 16 for the year,

Also reading 100 Poems that Make Grown Men Cry. This one is a galley and I'm not wild about it just yet.
These are #14 and #15 for the year.

my read shelf:
I am reading the first in The Sullivans series (I can't think of the name) by bella Andre. I am not loving it as much the others.
I'm maybe halfway through Divergent. I've been reading it at night before falling asleep. It's interesting enough that yesterday I was excited to have some waiting time and I grabbed my book to read instead of grabbing my laptop to do homework for school.
Yesterday after one of my doctor appointments I was given the instructions to "go home, relax and lay low." I interpreted that as go home, read, and cuddle your kitties."
I just started Flipped by Wendelin Van Draanen.
Yesterday I returned a library book and realized that my entire cache of holds came in at once. Now I need to prioritize.
Based on a poll, I'm going to start Ten Tiny Breaths by K.A. Tucker.
Books 7 & 8... Man! Looking at everyone else's numbers, I feel like a really slow reader.
