  • Gone Girl- Gillian Flynn (on audio format)- I was a little disappointed after so much hype.

    In Paradise- Peter Matthessen- beautiful, the author's last book before retirement. 

    Watchmen- Alan Moore- my first graphic novel

    The Lost Sisterhood- Anne Fortier- fictional story about the origin of the Amazons

    A Visit From the Goon Squad- Jennifer Egan- good, but scattered

    All Souls- Javier Marias- very cerebral, not much plot

    Vertigo- W.G. Sebald- semi-autobiographical, some went over my head

    I read 7 books this month. bringing me to 24/70 for the year. 

    This is my first time posting in the Book Club and I'm happy to find so many readers!  Everyone around me IRL thinks I'm crazy for reading so much.  I don't read from it exclusively, but one of my lifelong goals is to complete the 1001 Books You Must Read Before You Die.  Anyone else?
