Inexpensive restaurant/halls for a party

I was looking to do a house party for my daughter's communion with just family, however after making a list we are looking at about 60 people (My husband comes from a big family.)  I don't have room for 60 people in the house nor do I want 60 people in my house all at one time. Any suggestions on a reasonable place for around 2:00 p.m.

Re: Inexpensive restaurant/halls for a party

  • I should also mention I am in the South Philly area.

  • All the mummers clubs rent their halls for parties.

My husband is in Woodland.  They have a liquor license, you're able to bring in your own food, they can do round or rectangular tables.  They don't have a minimum, but their max is 160.  I just don't know their rental fee, but if you want a contact mumber, let me know.

  • Thank you.  My husband is a mummer also.  However, I was looking for a restaurant so I didn't have to worry about any serious planning.
  • There's Poppi's.  Also, I was to a shower at the Mediterranean Room, the food was surprisingly very good.  it's on S. Bancroft St.
