Married Life
Dear Community,
Our tech team has launched updates to The Nest today. As a result of these updates, members of the Nest Community will need to change their password in order to continue participating in the community. In addition, The Nest community member's avatars will be replaced with generic default avatars. If you wish to revert to your original avatar, you will need to re-upload it via The Nest.
If you have questions about this, please email help@theknot.com.
Thank you.
Note: This only affects The Nest's community members and will not affect members on The Bump or The Knot.
Hi all. Don't know if you guys are keen on introductions here but I thought I would anyway. I am new to the Nest but I used to be on the Knot awhile back. I've been married nearly two years, and I'm the only married one in my group of friends so I tend to kind of feel isolated a little. Thought I would join the Nest and maybe I wouldn't feel so lonely.
I'm 27, I work as a dispatcher for a tv provider. I am training to become a domestic violence/sexual assault crisis counselor and I play roller derby. My husbeast is currently a student, getting certified for IT. He is also a ref for my roller derby league. We gave a cat named Charlie who is very cute but quite possibly demonically possessed.
Well that's me. Looking forward to chatting with and getting to know everyone.
Re: New to the Nest
@jt305 - Strong is one word for it I suppose! It's one thing for me to be strong enough to take or give a hit on the derby track (hence my username), but it's completely another to sit face to face with a sexual assault victim. I guess one might prepare you for the other.
Roller derby is great by the way, even if you don't think you can! I've been doing it for over a year now and I only wish I'd been brave enough to join sooner!
