ngpr my puppy is getting old :-(

My old man is now 10 yrs old. In the last yr he has really started to show some age.

He still LOVES to go for a run or walk with me. But he has a hard time running 3 miles. Today is the day I think I am going to have to kennel him while I get my 4mi run in with my young puppy and then walk him after. He is going to be so depressed when I leave him :-(

He is supposed to stay a puppy for ever.

It's sad when they get older. But I'm sure he is going to love his walk with you so much!

Yes indeed and it would probably be good experience for little dog to be left alone while I take Titus for a walk. I am just not ready for those sad eyes I know I will get when he gets left and he has some excellent sad hound eyes. *sigh*

It's so hard to see them get older, but I'm sure he'll love his walk!

Aww poor pup, and poor mommy. 

At least you will still be able to do the walks with him, and you know he will love that.

Would it be better if you did a 1 mile loop with him, then drop him off at home and finish with the young pup?  I normally do 4 mile runs, and Sadie will only last 2 miles before she gets bored. So I plan my route in 2 mile loops and drop her off at home halfway through.

I may do that. But I have more motivation to not run if I do it that way ;-). I am lazy at heart.

It's sad when you notice their age. I hope he still has years to go though!
