"Call the Midwife", anyone?

I've been watching "Call the Midwife" ever since it came to PBS from the BBC and I am simply addicted. I love the characters and the drama and it has always a wonderful story every episode! Plus I love the medical history it covers.

I'm the only one I know who watches it so I have no none to blab about it with! Does anyone here watch??

Re: "Call the Midwife", anyone?

  • Saw it on Netflix, put it on my queue.  Haven't heard of anyone who watched it, so was nervous to start it.  I'll give it a try!
  • I love it! I am so ready for the the next season to come out. I love all of the medical history it covers as well. Have you tried London Hospital? It is a little more gory, but it is really good. I was sad when I watched all of it on Hulu. It might be on Netflix as well but it is a BBC show I think.

  • Anyone else upset that season three ended? I can't believe it's over, I could have watched at least three more seasons!

Oh man, I was so into that show.  The historical nursing, the culture of going into homes, the romantic drama!  I miss it so, binged watched it all on Netflix and then had withdrawals.  I loved Call the Midwife, but my FI couldn't stand it.  Watching women give birth, especially in conditions that weren't ideal, really got to him.  It made me laugh.

I will definitely check out this London Hospital.

ETA: I just realized this thread is from 2014.  Oh.  Oops.
