I want to preface this by saying that I am not in any way, shape, or form trying to sound conceited right now. But this is so flabbergasting and hilarious that I feel the need to share...
Every SINGLE time I see a Reel Big Fish show, a lesbian hits on me. I am not exaggerating. You can ask H because he has witnessed it happening 4 times now. My new friend from last night is from South Jersey, on a roller derby team, and was wearing a sleeveless, red flannel shirt under a denim vest. I had gotten really excited because a song by another band that I love started playing while we were waiting (so of course I started bopping around like a crazy person) and she sauntered over to me and said, "So, are we going to dance together tonight or what?" I consider myself a pretty friendly person, so naturally we struck up a conversation and it wasn't until some inappropriate touching started later on in the evening that I realized what was going on.
I'm not overly concerned that I'm putting out some kind of vibe as this is the only venue in which this ever happens, but I do find this phenomenon rather puzzling. I always like to be right in front of the stage, so maybe that's some kind of factor..? Who knows?

So the inappropriate touching happened when it was getting a little rough in the pit and I felt an arm wrap around my waist to steady me. I thought it was Jim, but nope! She had been bumping into me a lot before that, but I didn't think anything of it because that's just how things are.
