Temping and schedule question

I work graveyard, so 3-4 times a week I'm sleeping during the day while the other days I sleep at night. I tried temping a cycle but my temps were all over the place. Any tips on how to get it to work with such a wonky schedule or should I just rely on OPKs?

Re: Temping and schedule question

  • I would just try to temp on the most "regular" days/nights you have, after you've been asleep for 3-4 hours. It may still be wonky, but it might help some in addition to OPKs. Hopefully between the two you can get enough of an idea of what's going on!

T-TTC since Dec 2008. PCOS/nonexistant cycles(anovulation) and endo. HSG in '10 revealed both tubes blocked. Lap surgery in Dec '10 to correct. Failed Clomid/IUI and injectable(Bravelle)/IUI cycles so far.

Ok that's what I was thinking about doing. I figured if I could temp at the same time on my day sleeps and the same time on my night sleeps I should hopefully see something.

  • I think FF has some sort of info on temping when you have shift work. You might want to try looking for it on the site. I can't remember what it said (since it didn't pertain to me).
