Come out, come out wherever you are!!

I know you all are here so let's have another good day!!
I have class, but I'm calling off work because (a) I'm a terrible person, (b) I have to do job shadowing at 8am and there's no way I can get up for that if I work until 11 (c) I got a new job and won't be working much there anyhow so I just don't care (d) I just don't care.

I'm really excited to wear my new sneakers today. It's the little things in life. hahah!!

Re: Come out, come out wherever you are!!

  • What's the new job jlq??

Also sneakers...the word still amuses me.

    Happy Wednesday!! Yeah!!

This weekend did a lot of good in my life. Dh and I have been in a bit of a rough patch since ds2 was born. It's been a hard transition. This weekend we realized a lot of what was missing in our lives as individuals and as a couple was our relationship with God. We've made the commitment now to everyday do something about it. I feel like that has helped us in so many ways already. I Just wanted to share my excitement about this because it really has been on my heart so much and now I feel a million pounds lighter!
  • What do you call them, Echo? Tennis shoes? Running shoes? I probably will neither run or play tennis in those shoes. hahah.  ;)

The new job is as a caregiver for seniors in their homes. Instead of them being placed in a home, they stay at their own home and get care there. It should be pretty good! I loved home health when I did it before, I just didn't get enough hours.

Oooh Echo I'm so glad that you&your H have made a commitment to work on things. I can only imagine how hard it would be on a marriage adjusting to another new baby.

  • While we don't regret having kids so soon after getting married we sometimes dream of what life would have been like. We never had sex before marriage and so we never sort of had a normal sex life because of being pregnant and nauseous and then having kids. So were working on that too. Sorry if tmi. Dh has also made the realization for himself that his reality is two kids and a wife - again not something he would change just something he never fully realized if that made sense. Oh life is wonderful.

Yeah I said late last night in yesterday's thread that sneakers is more an American term I think. We would say running shoes. Or at least everyone I know would.

  • That's not TMI don't worry.
I know a friend of mine had a baby right after she got married, and while she doesn't regret it either, she wishes they had spent more time on just them and the marriage first. Marriage itself is such a big adjustment, and then a baby on top that's a lot to deal with.
I'm sure you guys will get everything all figure out! Life is hard work, anyone who says otherwise is a big fat liar.

I must have missed your last post last night. I never think about how weird a word is to others when it's something I've used my entire life.

  • Jlq good luck with your new job/ shadowing.

Fwiw echo I don't call them sneakers either. It is VERY regional even within the US
A marriage is hardwork as is being parents I am glad you and your Dh are on the same page and focused on working on it. That's important step #1

  • Man it is nice out! Its so sunny! I took the kids out for an hour. it was lovely!!!

Now we're killing time before nap.......10 minutes! but ill probably put them down sooner...at least one of them.

It feels great to be getting out of our funk we've been in. It's  not that we've been miserable we just havent been ourselves and it sucks!
  • Hi Friends! I have a terrible all day meeting. I sent them to lunch though so I thought I would stop by and say hi. Good news my meeting is going relatively quickly and the drawings aren't in too bad of shape!! YEAH!!!! I call them sneakers as well, but I know a lot the US says tennis shoes or something else. I think it is a like a pop vs. soda vs. coke thing.

JLQ: Good Luck on the new job. I hope this one works out for you!

Echo: Yea you and H! You both definately have been through a lot of changes in a short period of time.

Aggie: Hi! Are the cherry blosssoms done doing there business in DC yet?

  • I'm glad you had nice weather, Echo! it's crappy out here. Overcast and dreary and chilly. Boo!!

Hiiiii Aggie!!!!! How's the hair today? Some times after I get a haircut I love it right then, but then the next day I hate it. So I hope you still like yours today!
Degrae - Booo for your meeting!

Funny story about cherry blossoms....the house a few down from us has a couple and their just bloomed yesterday. they look so pretty!!
