A Dreams of Gods and Monsters Thought (possibly series spoiler)
It never even occurred to me that the Kirin were the most devilish looking of the chimaera until that was brought up in DoGaM. I had kind of a duh, of course they do moment when the anthropologists dug up Ziri's body.
Both Madrigal and Ziri were such gentle and graceful souls, and so many of the other chimaera races were so much more monstrous that I just didn't think about the fact that cloven hooves + horns + bat wings = devil.
