MSN moms: GHC insurance.... gave birth at St. Mary's?
I'm currently so baffled with the GHC system!! AGH! I have PPlus right now, but I will be switching to my DH's GHC insurance in March for various complicated reasons. I know that GHC uses St. Mary's for birthing. Who do you go through to get your routine maternity care, though? Do you have to use a Dean/St. Mary's OB or can you use a UW OB?
Anyone have experience with the St. Mary's/Dean OB/GYN staff and giving birth there in general? Good/bad?
Re: MSN moms: GHC insurance.... gave birth at St. Mary's?
We have GHC as well. Our OB was from UW and he recently left to go to a private practice. : (
St. Mary's was a good place. My OB ended up NOT delivering my baby because there are so many OBs on staff and they to different shifts. Depending on your situation, you may want to prepare for that.
So while I was there, I had 2 OBs monitor me when I was in labor. I checked in on a Tuesday night to be induced due to pre-e at 40 weeks. Had one OB administor the cervidal (didn't really like her, she was very condesending with my questions regarding pitocin Dr. Sandgren was her name), next morning had a nother OB (Dr. Miller who was nice) delivered via c-section because my daughter was sunnyside up and not dropping.
Let me know if you have any more questions. : )
