Here's my totally flameworthy confession: working part time has gotten me so spoiled, I don't know if I'll ever recover.  Once a week I have to be at work before three and waking up at 6:30 feels like torture.

This is possibly flameworthy.  I'm totally tempting fate and karma with this post.

A friend of mine has a baby that's less than a year old.  She doesn't post pictures on FB often but when she does, I can't help but think that their baby is not very...attractive.  At first, I thought she just wasn't taking pictures at the right moment but then I realized that it's not the pictures, it's the baby.

I'm the world's most awful person and I'll probably delete.  Oh my god.  I feel so mean.

If I have a child that's not so attractive, it will be karma biting me in the ass.

I have the same exact scenario.  I feel like such an ass.  Then I'm paranoid that my kid is that kid on people's FB feed.

She posted a status message today saying "guess what!!!" With a positive pregnancy picture. I broke down and ugly cried before I saw her comment to the picture of "the boss is out so I'm putting together the baby's newborn album...haha fooled you".
I wanted to punch her in the face.

That is really shitty. Keeping you in my thoughts as I know May will be a hard month for you!

LOL. Everyone knows a baby like that. You're not alone.

That is seriously shitty!!!  That's even worse than doing it on 4/1.  At least on 4/1, you expect those stupid jokes.  You don't expect that on 4/25!

I was late to work this morning because I HAD TO stop at Krispy Kreme for a donut. Then I had to take advantage of the $.99 cup of donut holes next to the register.

Then I came into work and realized it's Donut Day so free donuts for the office.

So what I'm trying to say is I'll be eating donuts all the live long day. #donuts4lyfe

I am leaving A alone with the kids tonight and don't feel one bit bad! This will be his first night putting them to bed by himself and I secretly hope he has a tough time! I have put them to bed by myself at least twice a week this entire month and they have seriously been great but daddy needs a little wake up ;-)

@MrsJenE mh regular refers to other peoples babies as ugly. Never to their faces because I had a "talk" with him about it. He also gives them nicknames. He is a horrible person but IMO has a cute baby. Your kids will be adorable too!

I had this same exact situation.  I swore I was going to end up with the world's ugliest kid because I would always be commenting to DH about how unattractive a particular kid was.  Luckily, she got cuter with age, but she's still not the world's most attractive kid and the pictures that the parents post don't always help.

I went through this phase with J.  He's a fantastic father, but was terrified forever to do anything on his own.  A couple nights like you're describing and we were much better.  Good luck and have a great night!

The first few times I left my husband alone with our twins he kept calling and calling asking what to do.  Finally, I was just like you know your their dad figure it out.  Don't kill them and don't call me back unless that seems like a distinct possibility.  Lol.

@MrsJenE and @SnShne322 I just had a conversation about this with DH the other night. I said there are a few unattractive babies on my FB feed, do people know this or do they not realize because it is their cute little baby? Also when we have kids how will we not think they are the most beautiful baby ever! He promises me we will not have an ugly baby, but you never know... Oh and Wes is a super cute little guy so post away!

Hahaha this morning he was asking me tons of questions...who do you put down first etc. Um we put them down together most nights, you need to figure out what works for you. He was cracking me up! @SnShne322 I hear you he is a great dad and he isn't afraid to be alone with them but it's "hard" welp love life isn't easy lol. And I mean he does it but then moans and complains after...i don't want to hear it ;-)

Ugh. I'm so sorry, that's really shitty of her. If I were you, I'd probably just hide her for awhile. I wouldn't be able to deal with that.

I'm always worried that people think my baby is the unattractive kid but I'm super paranoid like that.  She tends to look like a hot mess at times so it wouldn't surprise me.

Confession:  I have no interest in reading Rainbow Rowell's books.  I don't know why but they just sound kind of 'meh' to me.  (ducks and runs)

Mine is kind of lame. I cannot walk around my house barefoot. I have to have on slippers or flip flops. I clean the floors frequently but I still can't deal with any type of dirt on my feet.

I'm normally very non-confrontational but I got in a huge fight with my landlord (who recently kicked us out bc we have kids, long story) in the driveway last night and feel amazing about it. I could probably lift a car.

I just witnessed a rendezvous in the parking lot outside work.  It wasn't coworkers, but a woman who decided to give nooner head to her... whoever in our parking lot at lunchtime.

Yeah. Our apartment is the upstairs unit in an old house that was made into apartments. We just have one downstairs neighbor. Our neighbor was this old man and he passed away last month. Our landlord immediately (at neighbor's memorial service) told us he wasn't going to renew our lease which ended after June, and that if we could move out any sooner that'd be great because people like to move early in the summer and he'd love to get people in both units starting June first. 

He said he didn't think anyone would want to rent below us because of our kids being "so loud" and that when he rented to us it had just been Shaun and I. I reminded him that I had been 8 months pregnant, and certainly he knew that would result in a kid. His response: "Yes, one! And then you had another! And how am I to know you won't have more!?" wtf.

Anyway, after he told us that he wouldn't renew our lease, we stressed out for a little bit and then found a house that was perfect for us and signed a lease starting in May. We immediately told landlord that we'd be moving out in May and he acted confused about why we'd do that. He told us we would have to pay our lease through June. So we'll have to pay rent at two places for two months just because he's a liar. 

I'm pretty sure what happened is that he got into neighbor's apartment and realized what a huge job clearing it out is going to be (neighbor had no family or close friends so cleaning it out falls to the landlord) and realized he wouldn't be able to rent both units out starting in June like he wanted to. 

I've been stewing on it for a long time and yesterday I just let him have it. He did agree to make us only pay half in June, which is something I guess, but  mostly it just felt good to just get it all out in the open. He was super rude about everything, but I told him that I thought he was a terrible person and taking advantage of us. I also told him that we were setting up a security camera and if he went in there to start fixing it up for the next renter while we were still under lease that I'd call the police. lol.
