Book Lottery: Reality Boy (ns)
I read Reality Boy for the book lottery. I never would have picked this up without the lottery, so I am glad I participated. I struggled with the subject matter of this book. Gerald and his family were on a Nanny 911-type show, and it was a horrible experience for him, one that is still haunting him 10 years later. There is a family dynamic that is heartbreaking. I don't want to give anything away, but I was so angry reading this book that none of the adults in this poor child's life were what he really needed them to be.
