Rainy Tuesday randoms

Re: Rainy Tuesday randoms

  • I hope that it keeps raining so soccer practice is cancelled and it's easier for me to go to the gym tonight.

Mine too. I've been trying to wear some dresses lately (although still wearing them with boots because it hasn't been too warm out) and am forced to bundle up in a sweater.

I am not looking forward to freezing all summer in the office

  • No space heaters allowed at new job.  :-q  See also: fingers are freezing.

Hoping the husband's golf tonight is cancelled, although that will likely make him c.r.a.n.k.y.
  • I thought I was skate right through the spring allergies unharmed, but I feel like crap today.  I think the allergens found me   :((

  • And my first world problem of the day - I have too many library books to read.  I went on the ebooks site a few weeks ago and got on the waitlist for a bunch of books.  In the past 5 days, I think 5 books have become available.   I wish they would be spread out a little more.  And I got the 3rd book in the Divergent series, but I'm still way down on the waitlist for t he 2nd one.  So do I go out and buy book 2?  Too much pressure!

The rain is making me tired.

I have my space heater on under my desk. It gets too hot but when I turn it off, I am cold. FWP.

I am soooo bored.  And our warehouse guy keeps answering the damn phone. Listen buddy, I understand you are looking for something to do BUT answering the phone is about all I have going on today so stop doing my job. Especially since you can't answer anyone's questions.

My sister is due on Thursday,

I got my boston terrier neutered last week, he is crazier now.

Amber, the same thing happened to me. When I went on for a book, nothing was available, so I put holds on a bunch I wanted to ready. They all came in at the same time. I still haven't finished the first one I got. I turned wifi off on my nook, hoping they won't disappear and that my charge lasts long enough to read all of them :)

I took the cat to the vet, and left his meds there. Now I have to go back after work to get them. I can't believe i did that. I put them down to pay, picked up my bag and the cat, and left his prescription.

  • I'm pretty sure we will never find a house to buy. Sigh.

  • We signed our wills, living wills, and power of attorney this morning. Of course, Logan and I were running late to meet everyone so I got there with no coffee in hand. Determining which measures I want to take medically if I'm on life support is bad enough, but without coffee? Almost impossible.

kudos for being a grown up!  We haven't done any wills yet.  I just keep dragging my feet.

  • We need to take care of the will stuff too. We just ordered some DIY software, so we'll see how that goes  ;-)

We got DS's new car seat today, I can't wait to take it out of the box and play with it! I mean, put DS in it and get it all adjusted and see if the fancy fabric helps him stay cooler. DH gets the fun of installing it later, sometime after it stops raining.
  • Also, I really wish my ticker would go away! It keeps disappearing and coming back. Annoying.
  • I feel like I am the home project version of "if you give a mouse a cookie" book.  First I found that cabinet on Craigslist for my hall. Then I really wanted to replace the boob light on the ceiling. So I got new hall lights. Then I figured why not paint!  But when I took the railing down the nut which was attached to the bolts holding it to the wall fell - so I will probably just put up a new wooden rail. and i should replace the light switches and outlets because the outlets are not grounded, and switches are super cruddy from 50 some years of use. The rug clashed with the walls so I ripped it up.  I have spots of the wood floors that will need repaired. Then I will need a small area rug for the hall and to replace the slate tile in the entry way (it is damaged, can't be saved).  All because I bought that $100 cabinet! This is the last inside project before the summer though.
Also, for those of you interested i went with a light yellow color- Sherwin Williams Sunbeam yellow.   It looks awesome with the shade of the wood trim- which is why I was so eager to rip up the cool grey carpet in the hall and expose more of the wood.  I will try to share pictures once it is all finished.
