  • I am always honest with my DH. I don't hide anything from him. I would rather be honest and deal with the consequences. I really just don't like liars...

    I don't think there should be anything you wouldn't say to your partner. I used to lie about innocuous things to XH just to avoid a fight, and that should have been a huge red flag that something wasn't right.

    The only time I would lie is to avoid spoiling a surprise, but it would have to be something I'm sure my SO would like. So surprise aside, of course I would be okay telling him the truth, too.

    I will admit to telling half-truths to avoid needlessly hurting his feelings. "Do you like this new ugly thing that I'm totally excited about!" "I love seeing you so happy!"
