So the newest addition to the family is....
A Girl!
Appointment went well. She is actually facing down with her head into my cervix and facing inward. The tech got most of the shots she needed, but I do need to go back for another u/s to check the right side of the heart and get a profile pic. The tech thought I had a semi placenta previa, but an transvaginal u/s determined its at least 3.6 cm away from my cervix. Thank goodness. I also have an anterior placenta, which would explain why I haven't felt her move as much as Lexi.
Heartrate was great - 153.
Also, I am in between two due dates: September 16 which is based off of LMP (which my doctor uses), but baby girl is measuring the the date of September 24. I'm just going with the original due date but remind myself that this kid could come at any time.
When the tech said we were having a girl, poor DH looked a little sad because he wanted his boy, and Lexi blurted out, "Awwww but I wanted a baby brother!" I thought that was hilarious and it made my day.
DH is so happy now. And I'm glad too. I won't lie, I was a little disappointed because I hoped for a boy also, but I am sooooo grateful to have a healthy little addition to the family.
