I got on the scale this morning to yet another week of no weight loss after sticking to a strict diet - I barely even drank this week even though it was shitty - and still, nothing.  It's like if I don't carve out an hour a day for hard-core aerobics, nothing happens.  I HATE THE SCALE, I HATE LETTUCE, I HATE SKINNY PEOPLE.  GAHHHH.
On a related note, I have fat genes.  I just do.  I HAVE to diet and work out to stay at a reasonable weight.  I haven't had a bite of cheesecake in years.  When I see people who are rail thin and eating a huge ass calzone with onion rings for lunch, I want to kick something.
Same, same, same forever. I hate it and it makes me bitter and angry.
My entire life. I've really just stopped caring at this point.

  • I'm officially heartless, at least when it comes to books. I read TFiOS book and didn't cry. I didn't read spoilers before to know what was going to happen but I still didn't cry. I also didnt find Me Before You sad.
Whether or not you find your own way, you're bound to find some way. If you happen to find my way, please return it, as it was lost years ago. I imagine by now it's quite rusty.”

Me, too!  I can't remember the last time cried at a book, but it was probably Where the Red Fern Grows in seventh grade.  TFiOS was sad, but no tears from me.

Me Before You didn't make me feel sad at all.  Just furious, like, throw the book across the room furious.

If/when I get pregnant, I'm looking forward to eating ALL THE FOOD then blaming it on "cravings".

I have the gestational diabetes, so I have to wait until after the baby is born because I really want to eat all the food, but it makes me sick (and isn't good for the baby).

Please send all the lemon custard ice cream to my hospital room.

I'm having a c/s on Monday and we haven't picked a name.  How friggin' hard can it be to agree on a name?  Why is this impossible?

  • Though I'm supposed to be saving as much money as possible right now, I just calculated that I/we have spent $350 on eating out in less than a month. Sadly, this does not include my Tim Horton's purchases (minimum $4 per day). It's getting out of control but I LOVE going out to eat.

My good friend left the hospital with "babygirl". I know they had to pay to get it changed, but it took them a good week to decide. I'll admit I rolled my eyes and expressed concern that her name could not forever be "babygirl" but they eventually came up with it. Maybe your OB or L&D nurse will have the perfect name you can use? Or pick a name from whatever TV show is on while you're laboring?

I didn't pick names for my kids until after they were born.  I didn't plan it that way, my husband and just couldn't agree on anything.  They were Baby A and Baby B for at least a full day before we came to terms with anything.

My husband was "Baby Boy" when he left the hospital because his parents couldn't decide on a name.  If he wants to have "Baby Boy" changed on his birth certificate, he's going to have to petition to have it done through the court system.

  • @revjen They didn't change it for him after they picked one? Like when he went through school, his birth certificate said Baby Boy?

He did.  He went to parochial school though so they all knew him.
