The Sweetness at the Bottom of the Pie - Reading Lottery (no spoilers)
I had never heard of this book before. Based off the description, I probably would not have picked it up.
An 11-year old girl helps solve a murder her father is accused of.
I found it to be pretty slow for the first half. It had a lot of descriptions that I thought were unnecessary. It definitely picked up after the first half, but I probably won't read the rest of the series as I don't really know what genre I'd put this in. I guess it's classified as a mystery, but this isn't what I think about when I think mystery.
Anyway, it got me to pick something up and I'd love to participate in future lotteries
