I don't understand what people like this hope to accomplish.  Like maybe a gay person will be driving down the street and think, "Oh, snap, I better stop being gay since my mom's not gay!"  Or someone who supports gay rights will be all, "Dang, that person with the poorly constructed sign by the side of the road has really challenged me to look within myself and see the error of my equal-rights-loving ways!"  Does this woman just have too much free time on her hands that she feels like this is a good use of a Sunday afternoon?
