Sunday: probably another hike, then errands, and getting ready for a long week in Phoenix again (bleh) Hope you all have a great weekend, ladies!

  • More house stuff for me this weekend... painting trim, helping DH with landscaping, hanging curtains, and all the other odds and ends that still haven't been done. I know you're never really done with house projects but I can't wait for the time when we choose ONE project to do because we WANT to; not a bunch of things that HAVE to get done.

Also, I'm hoping the rain holds off tomorrow so we can go to the farmer's market.

  • Tonight: We have an appointment to have our winter tires finally switched for our all seasons, and we'll hit up Costco while we wait.

Tomorrow: Gardening and landscaping all day! Its supposed to be beautiful and we need to add soil and compost to our garden beds, transplant some plants, weed, mow the lawn etc.  I'm also trying to convince DH to take me on a dinner date tomorrow night.

Sunday: The annual margaritas and ribs celebration at my parents house for my uncle being in town.

Monday : Holiday monday and no plans! Hopefully sit on the deck, enjoy the weather, grill and relax.

  • Happy birthday @abt8113!

We may go out for drinks tonight if we get called for showings.  If not, we'll go home and relax, maybe watch a movie.

Tomorrow, we are going to see Godzilla with my parents in the afternoon.  The rest of the day is just going to be played by ear.  Hopefully we'll have showings scheduled all day so we will have to find something to do.

Sunday, probably more showings and finding more things to do to keep us out of the house.  And hopefully we'll have an offer or two on our house by Sunday night! :)

@lfk2013 I'm with you on the desperate cleaning, bleh. Congrats on the new job!

@abt8113 Happy Birthday! I completely forgot the Preakness was this weekend, have fun! I used to go with my mom and grandma, it was always fun.

I have no specific plans, just clean and finish some work that needs doing. Next weekend I'm going to San Fran for a conference, so I'm really excited for that, and will probably start packing this weekend.

@Looneylife, let me know what you think of Neighbors.  I saw it last weekend and wasn't impressed.  It had some funny moments but the amount of cussing in it really annoyed me.  My Mom and 16 year old brother loved it though and said I was just being a snob lol.

We've got absolutely no plans this weekend which I'm thrilled about.  We've had a bad week, on personal levels and within our relationship so I'm glad that we can just focus on us this weekend rather than having to hang out with other people.

The only thing we may do is go to a local strawberry festival tomorrow.  It is supposed to be gorgeous outside so we may go to that so I can stuff my face full of strawberry shortcake.

  • We are sitting in the airport now waiting for our delayed flight to STL. Once we get there it's house hunting all weekend. And come hell or high water I am going to Caribou coffee this weekend. It's been way too long since I've had it!!
  • We went out for dinner earlier.  Now we are home.  DH is doing some laundry, I am being lazy watching TV, and scrolling thru FB and The Nest.

Saturday:  DH is working.  I will be going by my parents house for a bit to feed their dog and walk him.  I should get some cleaning done, but we'll see if that happens.  I want to see Neighbors tomorrow night.  Has anyone seen it yet?

Sunday:  Maybe drive down to the Jersey shore and get some boardwalk pizza?

  • Tonight we are going out to dinner got our anniversary. Tomorrow we are doing the Color Run!! Super excited!

  • Tonight was craptastic with DH sleeping the evening away because of work and then me losing it over nothing. I'm overly tired, frustrated with my body, and just want something to go right in our lives. Pity party for one over here as DH went back to work to pull 18 hours after doing 16 last night into today.

Tomorrow - DH works and then will be sleeping until he has to go back to work so I'm going to lunch and a movie with a friend. Then who knows what.

Sunday - my moms birthday so we'll be over at my parents for part of the day. Desperately want to just cuddle up with DH but that may have to wait until Tueaday when he's finally off again.

Hope everyone has a great weekend!
  • Tonight- nothing. H is watching some dumb movie and I am moody, so he is on my last nerve. It's a good night for a shower and early bed time.

Tomorrow I am going to get a bottle of wine and watch Return to Zero. It's on Lifetime or something and I'll get Kleenex ready. It's about stillbirth. As depressing as that is, a good cry always is therapeutic.

No plans for Sunday other than family dinner.

I have such an exciting life.

  • @FutureMrsWright2012‌ - He's a police officer. He signed up for the extra shift in the morning tomorrow but they mandated him to stay this morning because someone called off and they don't care if you're already pulling a double the next day, they only plan a day at a time.

I really don't typically mind it because he really enjoys his job, but this weekend I'm just overwhelmed which makes me clingy. He knows that that's all it is and was trying to comfort me before he left but knowing I'm not seeing him all weekend except when he's sleeping doesn't help me much.
  • @ILoveRedVino‌ I should have just checked over here first lol. Lifetime; I'll set the DVR.

Last night was awesomely productive, I cleaned the house, did laundry, brushed the cats, and cleaned the pig pen.
Today, my mom and I are going to a bridal shower for my estranged (?) cousin's fiancé (note: haven't heard a single thing from this branch of the family for YEARS. We didn't even know he had a girlfriend let alone is getting married.) but mom got an invite and asked me to go with, so here I am. We may go out and get pedicures afterward. :)
Sunday is still up in the air, but my dad and I usually go see my grandma (his mom) in the nursing home in the morning. I hope for the rest of the day to be a lazy day. I haven't had one of those in a while.

  • @Xan921‌ So I enjoyed the movie. I thought it was funny, although I had hoped for even funnier (like I wanted to cry laughing). As far as the cursing, I thought it was pretty well in line with what I'd expect from Seth Rogen. I don't ever curse, but I'm rarely offended by it. I think you kind of just have to expect the language and crudeness from those types of movies.

I hope you at least enjoyed Zac Efron ;)

  • DH is taking multiple trips to empty out his vehicle that he totaled on Wednesday night by hitting a deer. (he wasn't injured thankfully, and the car was still drivable, but it was a 2002 CRV with over 265, 000 miles. so the cost of repairs is more than the car is worth)

We've also been doing yard work as it is the first weekend of the last 6 that we are actually home. We've started to mow the lawn (hard with an electric mower that doesn't seem to hold a charge very long) I went to the farmer's market this morning and we went out for sushi with friends. tonight we are going to the drive-in.
tomorrow we are going to drive down to my MIL's house so DH can pick up a car from her that he can use for a while.

  • @FutureMrsWright2012 - Thanks.  Just putting one foot in front of the other for the day and we'll see how tomorrow goes.  I'm thinking of demanding that we plan ABSOLUTELY nothing for next weekend.  Even if my body is somewhat on a 'normal' cycle and AF comes, I still just want to stay home and spend time alone together.
