Monday!

Happy Monday!!!
Hope everyone had a good weekend!

Saturday we went out to dinner to celebrate our one friends graduation! We went to this fancy place that we've never been too and things were expensive and I couldn't pronounce the names and nothing sounded good to me. hahaha. Except dessert. I got gelato for dessert and it was delicious. Then we went back to his apartment and proceeded to drink and play games and I never really drink so after like 4 drinks I was trashed. But got smarter, so I won the games. hahahaha.
Yesterday we had a fire and had a few people over and played yard games. It was fun!  So a good weekend here.

I don't know what to get DH For our anniversary. ugh. I'm a terrible gift giver.

Good Morning Gals! Sounds like you had a fun weekend JLQ! I did as well. Well not s much fun as you as I pretty much read all weekend and did chores. But H was home and it was so good to spend time with him. he leaves tomorrow for 3 days. He will be back Thursday night. We have decided that we are having a memorial day picinic at our house. Nothing big just family, should be 10 adults, 2 kids and 1 dog. I am looking forward to it.

Sounds like your H has been going on a lot of trips lately! Is it normally like that?
I thinking reading all weekend sounds lovely!

No but for whatever reason they come in groups. Hopefully after this trip he won't be gone till Sept. It stinks but it is part of the job. I might have a trip in July/August. I am hoping it gets canceled.

I meant to answer your question about gift for H. We have decided just to get each other cards and go to dinner. He told me I would get flowers as well! :) We decided whenever we go on vacation or around the house if there is something that is expensive but we really want to do it we will call it our anniversary gift. Take away some of the guilt because it's a gift! Like last year we went to cirque de sole. This year Lion King the musical. Maybe you guys could do something like that. It works for us.

That kind of stinks about the trips coming in groups like that. I think I'd like it if they were more spread out.

Last year we got a new fire pit for the yard as our anniversary gift. So we've been thinking of doing something like that again this year. We might get this booklet of tickets for Crosscutters games for this summer.

    Crosscutters? What this?

I like the idea of making "the gift" something you can use or do together.

It's the local farm baseball team. They're a farm team for the Phillies. We went to a few games last summer and they're pretty fun.

That makes sense. We have the Red Wings here. They are the Twins AAA team. Buffalo has the Bisons and they think they are the Blue Jays now AAA team. Was the Mets before that the Indians. If they have a San Diego Chicken game you should go.

They play Jamestown and State College I know that. And Auburn, Staten Island, Brooklyn and some other teams. I don't remember them all. We're going to try to go to opening night because you can enter to win a cruise, that would be awesome!
