I know -I try to check when I can but have had some probs responding on my home computer since it just would not post any of my messages.

Anyhow I am working as usual, worried about my doggie since his heart problem worsened, and just living life Plan to go to Monterey in June/July with a couple friends and hubs. One friend was planning to get married soon and then their relationship just broke off recently and she has been really, really down. She wanted to get married and have a child (we're both 40) and I feel so bad for her. So we invited her to come along with us since we rented a vacation house.

@olywillis Sorry to hear about your pup doing worse. And your friend. Sounds like you are being a wonderful friend to her. Good for you.

It is slow on here. I worked this weekend and as far as I can tell it went well. But I didn't make the list either day so I am not taking responsibility for any screw ups. Although I am pooped and recovering today. H face timed me during his walk and insisted I go to the pool. I haven't been at all yet!

Had a date night last night. Went to Alamo Drafthouse to watch Godzilla (really good btw), eat and drink. Mmmm.. Beer...

Not much going on here. I didn't do half the cleaning I meant to do this weekend (but did find time yesterday for a three hour nap, obviously).

I found a tutorial for making your own maxi skirt that I want to try. I'm too tall for most of the ones they sell in stores, so I'm hoping to give that a go this week. I have a feeling it will be a complete disaster, but it really doesn't seem that hard! Famous last words?

I found out that I failed my glucose screening test this morning, so I have to go in for the three-hour test on Wednesday to find out if I've got GD. Really hoping that I pass that one... it obviously wouldn't be the end of the world, but I'd definitely prefer NOT to have to deal with that.

DH and I are headed to the beach this weekend for Memorial Day, then Charleston next Friday for a long four-day weekend with friends. Two much-needed vacations back to back! I can't wait!

Anyone else have exciting plans for Memorial Day?

I had a pretty good weekend. Friday we saw "Godzilla." It was nice here so I sat outside yesterday and read a book on our patio. Ended up a little pink.

I had a job interview last Wednesday. It was the third step in the process (first had to fill out a form for HR, then had phone interview), so I'm praying I hear something this week. I think it went well, I just really don't know. I'm fairly rusty at job interviews since I've been at my current place of employment 14 years. Anyway, I'll take your good vibes!

@olywillis - sorry to hear about your puppy  Hope she gets better!  That's super nice of you guys to ask your friend if she wants to come along!

@erollis - I would totally be at the pool if I could!  I haven't been to the pool for ages!

@lcostel - Good luck making the maxi skirt!  Post a picture if it turns out good!  I see all these nifty things that would be cool to make...But a)  I don't have a creative gene in my body & b) I never find the time to do it!  Sucks you failed your glucose screening.  Good luck on the 3 hour one!

@sdose13 - good luck on your interview!  What's this job for?  Why are you wanting to switch after 14 years! 

AFM - not much is going on at all.  I've started to play more softball, so I'm playing softball 2 nights a week.  I'm still working my part-time job, but I have really cut back on hours.  I'm working 2 days/week.  In between that, DH and I have just been hanging.  We just had a talk, and we really need to start saving more $$.  DH would love to get into real estate.  He has a friend that flips homes, and DH would love to do that.  But in order for us to do that...we have to have more liquid capital!

I haven't been around because the past couple weeks have kicked my ass. Thankfully I think my luck is finally turning around? I hope.

About a month ago I fractured my foot. I walked on it for two weeks thinking I just broke a toe and I'm now hobbling around at work in a big plastic shoe for a month. On Mother's Day my grandfather died. I missed almost a week of work to rush to NY for the services. While I was in NY I got a bad stomach virus. It hit me during the funeral, I felt horrible. I threw up during the procession at the cemetery. I had to stick my head out the car door to puke and everyone saw. Then the whispers started among my relatives that it must have been morning sickness....... NOPE.ce

I was sick in bed at my parents' house for the next 3 days, flew home Sunday and was back at work on Monday, mentally and physically exhausted. I had concerts the next 2 days (yesterday and today). Thankfully the kids were amazing because I was not sure how they were going to be since my trip to NY was the worst timing ever, missing the last 3 rehearsal days before the concerts.

I've been running on adrenaline and Mountain Dew the past 2 weeks. I just need to make it to the weekend....

@quirky75 - I'm sorry about your grandfather.  Hope you can relax and feel better this weekend.

I've been MIA lately.  Work is keeping me super busy.  Plus, I've been in a funk for a while now. 

We don't have much planned this weekend.  I'm hoping to get a few house projects completed. 

Nothing really exciting going on with me..

I'm sorry, too @quirky75. Sounds like you have had a really rough couple of weeks.

@athlete010688 I'm currently a section editor at a newspaper. It's stressful, and I'm just really burnt out. I applied for a job at a big bank in corporate communications consulting. I didn't get the job, but the hiring manager did like me a lot and put my name out to a couple other hiring managers. I have another interview today.

@erollis and @atthlete010688 - thank you for the well wishes for Willie Taking each day as it comes and he seems to be healthy and energetic otherwise.

I only get on here on days I'm at the office which is only 2-3 days a week.

Not much is going on here.  Just trying to get my life in order with the baby and work and everything that needs to get done.  I realized last week that I have been dealing with PPD with everything going on (my job changed when I went part time, the baby has been hospitalized twice in 2014, etc) so I am trying to get a handle on all of that.  I feel like life just gets away from me and I barely can catch my breath.

@Curls218‌ what's wrong with baby?! Just from this post it sounds like you have a lot of stress. I'm sorry about PPD.
