hey everyone. I am getting a new puppy this weekend. Of course I am waiting to meet him before giving him a name. I was just looking for some ideas... A male springer spaniel pup.. Liver and white..

TIA
Re: Puppy names
We like themes for our names. Our cocker is named Maximus (from Gladiator) and our GSP is Artemis (call name Trixie), so we stuck to ancient Greek/Roman names.
I think meeting the dog first is a great idea - it can make the name choice very easy based on their personality. Our pugs have both been named for peanut butter brands (Teddie and Skippy). We named Teddie once we had seen a photo of him (we were open to changing it once we met him, but it fit perfectly). Skippy came with his name (we rescued him as an adult) - we knew he was meant for us!
Our cat is Sam (he came with that name when we adopted him) and our dog is Ben, as in Big Ben
When you first see him a name might just pop into your head. I had a black and white spring spaniel growing up, his name was Charlie.
