my replacement

so the girl that they hired to do my work while i'm gone is soooo nice, but I don't know how its going to work out for the company.

She seems to make her own hours, even though we've given her set hours. and today she sent me a text at 12:41 saying she was leaving her other job and we be here in 30 minutes and its now almost an hour later and she's nowhere to be found. I don't care if you take an hour in between your two jobs, but if you could please tell me you'll be here in 1 hour instead of 30 minutes it would be appreciated.

I know I shouldn't care, but i'm sure when I get back here shits going to be all messed up.

we have a 2:00 meeting and she needs to pull stuff together for that and i'm not doing it....its her responsiblity now. but I just don't understand. I guess my work eithic is different. she also doesn't show up and gives lame excuses like, I couldn't find my keys and once she said it was because it was her daughters birthday. awesomsauce.

That sucks. I hope things aren't as messed up upon your return as you expect.

  • Yikes. It would be easy to say that you shouldn't worry about it, because you're checking out soon. But you do have to worry about how messy things will be when you get back. I'm sorry, that really does suck. Is there anyone you can talk to about it, to try to straighten her out?

I talked to my boss about it and he's kind of worried, but just said the other guy in a similar position to mine was going to have to step up to the plate and make sure shes getting stuff done.
