Re: Spring into Summer Sweeps: 5/30

  • Just started training for a half marathon to support Leukemia & Lymphoma society, so starting to run several days a week.
  • We have a new little one in the house so now my routine involves picking up 15lbs all day as well as a 1 mile walk pushing a stroller.
  • I usually run a 5k on the treadmill, or I will run for about 20 minutes and use the elliptical for about 20 minutes.
  • Walk on my 1 hr lunch break and Zumba saturday mornings.
  • I walk everyday (well almost). I am going to add a lunchtime walk while I am at work in the next couple months as my schedule allows.

I've recently become obsessed with Pure Barre. Perfect low-impact, calorie burning exercise!
  • Walking.  Lots of walking.  Outside with DH when the weather is nice because we have hills, but inside (solo, of course) on the treadmill when it isn't.

  • I run a couple days a week, play dodgeball once a week, and try to ride my bike just about anywhere I can!

I'm a competitive horseback rider in jumping & dressage so I get about 4 rides in a week.  I enjoy it so much it hardly feels like work!  I've been trying to work pilates back into my workout routine as well since the core strength really helps with my riding.
  • My boyfriend and I run or bike together every day. Usually alternating days. And on June 1st I am starting a month workout challenge with squats, crunches, push ups and planks!

Cardio at the gym either running, on the elliptical, or bike. Yoga and core strengthening exercises at home. Repeat all 4-5 times a week for a happy, healthy you :)
  • I'm mostly a walker, but try to work in some cardio a few times a week.

In any given week, I am at a yoga or barre class. I am NOT a cardio fan but I do always choose the stairs over the elevator (that counts, right)?! :)

Gym 3x a week (most weeks): cardio and some light weights and lots of ab work!
  • Yoga is my favorite form of exercise and when I can't make it to class, I download classes online and practice at home. I try to mix in running, walking and interval training, too. On the weekends, we love golfing, hiking or biking on nice days.
  • I treadmill 40 minutes 3-4 times per week and walk the dog as many days as the weather allows. Sometimes my husband and I go to the gym on the weekends, and I usually bike for 30-40 minutes and use some of the machines for my arms/legs.

  • Yoga when I wake up and then again before bed. I'm trying to get into running but I'm lacking motivation. :(
  • Ride the ponies on Wednesday and Sunday, Hot Yoga on Fridays, and a 30 minute lunch time walk 4-5 days a week.
  • I really enjoy a variety of excercise classes, if I can't find one in person I go online
  • Pilates three times a week, walk daily!
  • I usually use the Nike training app
  • Love me some group classes! I enjoy BODYPUMP on Mondays, Kickboxing on Wednesday, Spin/cycle on Thursdays, and Zumba on Fridays and Sundays :-D
  • I just had a little one coming up on four weeks ago by emergency c-section... so at this point my exercise routine is out the window as I can't exercise and I'm sure it'll change once I'm allowed to start up again.
  • Hit the gym four times a week for cardio and weights!  Try to remember to slow down and do some yoga at home, but who has time for that?? :)
  • Weight room a couple times a week, 4-6 mile runs 4 times a week with a 10 mile long run on the weekend, some p90x workouts a few times a week, and in the summer - tennis!
  • I change it up! Elliptical and weights, stationary bike and weights, lacrosse games, swimming, Tae bo, or Zumba... Whatever my achy body can handle for the day! My favorite is a Friday night house cleaning/dance party with my husband and dog... Great stress relief!
  • walking on lunch breaks and after dinner with running or swimming with the other half on weekends
  • 3 days a week at the gym: 30 minutes of cardio (running or elliptical) and 30 minutes of strength training (light weights, squats, etc.)
Hoping to add prenatal yoga once a week too. :-)
