Has anyone ever put one together? Looking for some insight on the whole thing. Where to start, how much time did it consume, was it worth it, etc?

I have never done one of these, but it looks like the Nest ghost resurrected an old post concerning Beef and Beers that might help get you started and point you in the right direction of some old Nesties to reach out to. Good luck!

I didn't do anything- it just showed up because someone posted a recent response to that old post.

I've done them. They are a ton of work. We made a good bit but there were at least 15 of us that did stuff like collecting donations. Sending letters for donations etc and we cooked a lot of the food ourselves. Day Of we had at least 20 additional people to help set up/ clean up/ run it.

I just fell for that old post and was in the middle of texting HW because she used the phrase KU and I thought she was expecting again.  Nope, it was from 2011!

We do one for BRC every year. MaGerk's has a package for it that's pretty good.

LOL! I was wondering why Pfeif was texting me about an old thread she came across on TN. How freaking creepy of TN! Can we start new threads now in hopes it will bring back amazingness from the past?

Well as you can see from my thread from 2011, I did one for my SIL. The hardest part of it was trying to get donations and getting businesses/people to donate baskets/items for the raffles. I made a ton of letters and we delivered them in person to each business. I think I still have the templates if you want them. But overall, they really are a lot of work if you want it to be successful and worth it. Like someone said above, you'll need a lot of help before and during the B&B itself, too.
