  • I ate breakfast AND ate my free donut on the way to work.  It's a good way to start a Friday.

Dunkin' Donuts is giving a free donut to anyone who buys a beverage.  I got one with my morning coffee.

I feel like I should know what "pass the butter" means in Eli's post in the YA thread.

I am seriously, royally, unbelievably, atomically DISTRAUGHT.  My MIL came a few weeks ago to help us clean up the house for the baby. We donated a ton of stuff to Goodwill, including like six bags of clothes. I had a bag set aside for high end clothes that I wanted to take to consignment. I put it in my closet, apart from the other stuff, so it wouldn't get mixed up with the Goodwill stuff.

You guys, I think she tossed it in with the Goodwill stuff. I can't find it anywhere. I searched my house high and low last night. It is nowhere to be found. THAT BAG HAD MY BELOVED OSTRICH FEATHER SKIRT IN IT! OMFG! I know she meant well, but I seriously nearly burst into tears last night. :(

I wanted to pass that fabulous skirt on to @booneybear! I will look again this weekend. Hopefully I just overlooked it somehow. My heart hurts to think that my Robert Rodriguez ostrich skirt, Chloe jeans, and Nanette Lepore dresses are sitting in a pile at Goodwill. =((

I hope you find it. I love selling things on consignment and seriously doubt that skirt will get the loving owner it deserves at goodwill :(

Classy confession of the week- I work night shift and sometimes I have a beer in the morning after work. (Hey, when you work 7pm-7am 830am is 830pm to you). I had a cold one in hand out watering my plants Tuesday morning when I saw the new neighbors across the street whom I have yet to meet. Without thinking, I raised my beverage in a hello there salute and continued about my garden. I got kind of an odd look from them as they drove past and realized that they probably think I have a serious problem. I'm a night shift nurse, but don't wear scrubs to work anymore so they must think I was drinking a beer at 830am on a Tuesday morning before I headed in to work in an office somewhere. Super. Also, DH had friends over for a fire earlier this week so the recycling bin that's at the curb right now is full of beer bottles. Just wait until they find out the dog is named Wilfred, everyone automatically assumes that means we're really into pot.

Also, I'm pretty sure they're mennonite. No shoefly pie for us at this rate!

I realized last night that when I fell asleep the night before, I'd stopped reading only 2 sentences before the end of The Shattered Mountain, one of the Girl of Fire and Thorns novellas by Rachel Carson.

In my defense, my Kindle showed I was at 85% so I assumed there would be more to the novella, but the rest was just an excerpt from another book. Womp womp.

  • Confession:  I made a VERY healthy dinner last night. Lentil, sweet potato, & spinach soup. It was delicious. Then I walked to the store and bought a chocolate croissant.
I write sexy books. I read all the books. I love dresses & macarons.

  • I've been on a no sugar, no carbs diet for a week and a half and I have been VERY good.  Someone brought in doughnuts today and I'm going to eat one.  And then I will hate myself.  But I will still love doughnuts.

Supposedly when you say the letters WIMOHB as one word, it sounds similar to MOBY.  So that's what she calls it.

  • This was me as soon as we started talking about an HP NBC GTG :

I'M NOT WORTHY! I have this idea that you are all so beautiful and intelligent and sophisticated, and I am dumb and dumpy and not nearly witty enough to be in your collective presence.

    I'm not fancy, y'all.
