@Hoycie I tried not to ruin it for you by talking it up too much. I still can't give it above a B, cause it hurts too much, but they didn't do a bad job. Even what's her face, Shailene, or whatever - she was actually a pretty good Hazel, right?

She did much better than I expected.  Normally everything about her annoys me, but this time I felt for her.  

Now.... Hazel's mother? That woman is so ugly it hurts to look at her.  She annoyed me.

I thought it was good, but I did not cry. I think if I had not read the book, I might have been more emotional. My friend who was with me, who has not read the book, was a blubbering mess.

I loved it. I know some people doubted Ansel as Augustus Waters, but I thought he did a great job at bringing Augustus to life for me. The only thing that bothered me about it was Hazel's dad. I had trouble seeing him and not picturing Sam's naked ass from True Blood.

I saw it last night with my husband.  I loved it!  We weren't planning to see it we just happened to be having dinner next to a movie theater and I mentioned that there was a movie out that I wanted to see but I'd probably just wait for it to come out on DVD because it wouldn't be something he would be interested in.  But he offered to go see it so we did.  I was nervous going in because I hadn't had time to psych myself up for it.  I was totally proud of myself.  I only discreetly shed like one tear during the whole movie!  Of course I had that burning lump in my throat and misty eyes but whatever.  I held it together.  I look over at my husband and he's fucking weeping.  I just shook my head at him and said "pull yourself together."  He told me it was allergies.  Lol.
