How did your mom's surgery go?

Re: *Skiz*

  • It went exactly as planned. Thank you for asking. She had her galbladder removed.  They were trying to check her out 2 hours after the procedure (which was not the plan) so they didnt have bed upstairs for her. They ended up having to wait another 4 hours to finally get her into a room. She was still very groggy last night and her throat was really sore from the intubation tube. But I am hoping this will relieve lot of the symptoms shes been having for so long.
  • I'm glad it went well! When will she be home? (Or is she already home? I'm having reading comprehension issues this morning.)

  • Glad to hear the surgery went well.
  • She should be home today. They originally werent trying to keep her even over night, but I made her request to stay. I would have been a wreck with her home that early after that.

  • Glad it went well! Hoping she has a speedy recovery and relief.

Everyone I know who has had the procedure done has said it was life-changing.  I've actually been trying to convince doctors for years to take mine out, but I've been assured that that isn't my problem.  Sigh.
