H's grandfather's funeral

So it's tomorrow and my parents are coming.  Is it weird that I'm kind of nervous about that?  I'm worried that I'm going to feel like I have to divide my time between H and them...all while being sad myself.  Obviously I'll sit with H...right?  Or am I supposed to sit with them?  And what about the gathering afterwards?  My parents aren't really going to know anyone there, so do I stick with them?  Or H?

I am putting WAY too much thought into this.

I'd stick by H. It's very nice your parents are coming, but it's Hs (and your) loss. They are adults, they will be fine.

I'd also stick by H. At the gathering I would make sure they are comfortable, but ultimately be there for your H. It is a hard situation to navigate. So sorry for your and your H's loss, I think I missed it when I was away last week.

Your parents are coming to show support to H and his family- not to spend time with you. Stick with H, they'll be able to hand themselves. And it's not like there's going to be 298928 people at the gathering..you'll be able to mingle and split your time just fine.
