@RevJen

Hey Rev, I'm hard up for ghost stories in the Roanoke area.  Have you heard of any outside of the basic google search and the LB Taylor books?

    I haven't, personally.  Let me ask mh to see if he's got anything.

  • Thanks.  I have some stories, and I've had to expand to about 90 miles north of here (Staunton).  The stuff I have is good, it's just not as local as I'd like.

    I can try to do some research tonight, if you want.  Or I'll have Lance ask on a couple of his forums.

  • It's up to you.  Roanoke just seems to be terribly UN-haunted.  :(

    I would think there would be tons of stuff available with the lost colony and all.

    Lost Colony was on the NC coast.  The one in Virginia was chartered in 1874 and use to be called Big Lick until the powers that be thought it needed a better name in 1882 and chose Roanoke.

    It goes back even further to the 1500s from what I've been able to find.  I asked him to ask his ghost groups on FB to see if there are any stories.

  • The one in VA or the colony in NC?
