Is there a way to like foods you hate?

Hi everyone! I am back from another hiatus (blame the national certification exam!). Now that that is accomplished, I have a lot more free time on my hands, and I want to make some new recipes.

I hate beans...of all kinds and varieties (except green beans). Black, navy, kidney, white, baked, refried...blech! Is there some other way to prepare beans so they don't taste absolutely disgusting? I have the same sentiment towards bell peppers. I get that people like what they like and don't what they don't, but I know palates can change. Is there something you used to hate that you love/tolerate now? What recipe made it better? Thanks!

  • I'm with you on the bell peppers! People don't get it, but I can't stand them. Olives either.

As far as liking beans, have you tried recipes, like soups or chilis where the beans are blended in and not left in their whole form? Maybe trying them a different way will help?
