Dining room furniture colors

I need help deciding what color to refinish a piece of furniture to put in my dining room. We have an alcove that I want to put an antique dresser in with our wedding picture over it but I can't make a decision on the color. Right now we have a dark wood and white table and a white sideboard that has an antique look to it so it's not bright white. Our walls are light tan and dark brown.

Would it look weird if I was to do a color or should I stick with a neutral color? I just refinished a desk (picture attached) that my husband loves and wants me to do the dresser like this but I don't want it to look out of place. Any help would be great!

Re: Dining room furniture colors

  • You should go with what you like. If you try to stick with something that you are unhappy about it will show! Embrace your ideas and blossom! :-)
  • Thank you so much, I completely agree with you. I am going to go with a color and make it an accent piece, I think it will really pop since everything else is neutral.
