I kind of hate living in NYC.

Visiting here is energizing and wonderful. Living here is different. I feel like there is SO much negative energy here. Everyone is always angry. Kids are ridiculously rude and are so foul-mouthed that is still shocks me every time I hear it. Of course, there are things I love about it too, but I don't feel that they outweigh the life draining negativity here.
Yep, I lived in the middle of Baltimore for 1 year. I'm really glad I did it for the experience, but you could never again pay me to live in the middle of a large city.
I think this just confirms that I will always LOVE California above everything else. San Diego is a big city and I loved it there.
I was thinking the same thing. California, with all of its faults (haha, you see what I did there?), doesn't suffer from the negativity affliction too badly. Even in San Francisco, I don't feel an overwhelming negative vibe. I love it here.

I'm sorry it's sucking. Hang in there - make your own positivity!
