I've got plenty of exciting news to share today so it's all going in this post.

I purchased a Travelzoo deal for NOLA a few months back and we just finalized the details for the trip a couple days ago. We bought tickets to see a couple burlesque shows and a vampire tour. It's one of my dreams to open up a burlesque club, so I'm super excited to see the shows. We're going in September and I can't wait!
I was talking to my MOH last night and she is going to Vegas in October for a work conference and her husband is going to meet her out there to spend the weekend there. I mentioned that I really wanted to go to Vegas sometime soon and we determined it would be great if we could go at the same time. Well, we looked into flights and hotels last night and the rates were really good. So, we went ahead and booked a trip! We're going the last week of October, so we'll be there for Halloween! It should be a blast! Also, her aunt works for Cirque Du Soleil and can get us tickets to the show! I'm beyond excited!!
And lastly, we got an email this morning that we are officially approved for our lot loan! We were a little worried at first because the lender we were working with wasn't replying and just seemed off. Well, this past weekend (almost 3 weeks after going under contract!), he emailed us saying he couldn't approve our loan but gave no real explanation as to why. When we asked, he replied saying we needed to look elsewhere. Our loan officer immediately got in contact with another lender on Monday and here we are, 4 days later, approved and ready to go! Where hoping we can close in the next week or two, so keep your FX for us please!
Re: NOLA, Vegas, and Lot Update
Yay lots of exciting things going on. If you like the Beatles I really recommend seeing LOVE at the Mirage. DH and I saw it last time we were in Vegas and loved it.
FX for the closing! I have a pretty good feeling about things working out for you guys though.
As for Cirque shows in Vegas, I've seen Zarkana and Mystere. They were both incredible. The next one I would go see is O. I research the shows since I am into acrobatics. Since I'm out of acro commission I feel like it keeps me in the loop
