Where to find good quality bedding?

Does anyone have a comforter/quilt/duvet set that they love? We are upgrading to a king sized bed and I'm looking to buy a new comforter. I've checked all the big places - Pier1, West Elm, Pottery Barn, Kohls, JCPenney - a lot of the reviews are mixed, saying that they are cheap/unravel easily/colors bleed in the wash, etc. I need something durable, easily washable, and darker in color (we have two dogs). Any suggestions?

  • Try HomeGoods. Also, Crate & Barrel, Macys, and maybe Sears will even have something.
  • Have you checked Bed Bath and Beyond? If you haven't looked already, Target had some cute sets (not sure on the durability).

I think it depends on what style you get and the brand it is. I recommend seeing it in person before buying it, and if you buy it online make sure you can return it. I wish that I would have known what ours would have felt like before buying it because it snags so easily.

We have this one from Target. It's called Threshold™ Stitch Floral Pattern Quilt  for about 6 months and it has held up pretty well with frequent washes in hot water.  Hope this helps!
