Anniversary gift ideas?

Our 4th anniversary is come up in a few weeks and DH and I have been trying to do traditional anniversary gifts every year. This year is fruit and flowers. I'm really not sure what to do for fruit or flowers for DH. Any ideas would be appreciated! =)

Re: Anniversary gift ideas?

  • Does your husband like dried fruit? You could send him a Harry and David basket with dried fruits and/or fresh fruit and nuts.

  • The fruit and flowers thought just reminded me of these:
Which literally have fruit shaped into flower arrangements.

It might not be quite a manly gift, but if you guys are definitely pursuing the fruit idea, it may be an option.

They do also have these cute chocolate covered fruit sets with apples and things. I'd be completely cool with that as a gift as part of maybe a bundled romantic evening at home.

Fruit and flowers? How about one of those edible arrangements of flowers made out of fruit?

  • Thanks for the ideas! DH is not really a dried fruit kinda guy, but he might like the edible arrangement.

I was also thinking maybe a nice bottle of wine? Or a spirit like St. Germain elderflower liqueur? He likes cocktails and wine...
  • I don't know if he is a flowers and plants kind of guy --- what about a dish garden for your home?

If you have a home, what about a small flowering fruit tree?

Send him flowers --- get them in "manly" colors like deep purples, deep yellows, sunset pinks and deep russet reds. Ask for a mixed bouquet and what's in season.:) He'll probably get a kick out of it; maybe send it to his workplace.

What's in season: mums, gladiolas and glamelias, sunflowers, gerbera daisies, roses.
  • I've had exes complain about receiving flowers from me in the past, so if you think your husband might feel the same, an edible arrangement is a great idea -- and it's both fruit AND flowers! Wine could also count as a fruit. Are there any exotic types of fruits that he likes? Pomegranates, starfruit, jackfruit, etc? Or what about an arrangement of succulents instead of regular flowers? If you're crafty, maybe you could make him some flowers out of pretty paper. Or put a silly twist on the whole thing by putting a mustache on it or something similar. :)
    Good luck!
