Trying to start a new career

I graduated about a year and a half ago from college with a degree in Education. I decided that I dont want to work in the education field anymore. I have tried to use transferable skills that teachers have for office positions but no one is calling me or I need so many years experience. I need some ideas of what other types of jobs to apply for. Ideas?!?

Do you have any interest in health care? If so, you could look into becoming a certified child life specialist.

Try a law office. Sometimes smaller firms will hire you because they want someone with a degree but no legal secretary experience. They will train you and you're someone who won't bring any legal "bad habits" into their firm.

I worked five years in the broadcasting industry. After I figured out that wasn't what I wanted to do with the rest of my life, I called a family member who was an attorney.  I started working in their office and then took a year long certification course to become a paralegal. Law school was an option but I didn't want any student loan debt, to be in school that long, or take the bar. As the senior paralegal I make more than most junior councils or new associates.
