Tear Stains on white dogs

We have a little Maltese mix that we have had for a few weeks. Within days his tear stains got really bad. I am desperately trying to find out how to prevent this from happening! Any advice would be helpful.

  • It is not a health issue and I wouldn't worry about it.

If it really concerns you that much you can put her on Prostora which is a daily probiotic pill for the rest of her life to help.

Do not use any of the products you find to apply to the test staining such as angle eyes it is not healthy for your pet.

  • I have a little white maltese x poodle and while tear stains are inevitable, you can get wipes for them (like baby wipes but made for dogs)... my little guy is pretty chill so I just get the crap away from his eyes with my hands and rinse his face off with a bit of water when we have our after work snuggles and he has never had an issue again!
