Re: NOTD for Wednesday!

  • Camille makes me think of the real housewives.

I like Peyton better for a girl.

  • I like Camille but wouldn't use it. Faye reminds me of Tammy Faye Baker.

A good friend named her daughter Payton - I agree with Cheezus that's it's better suited for a girl.

  • Camille was on our short list for a girl's name. I love the nn Cam/Cami.
Faye is pretty, but seems old to me, so I wouldn't use it.
Noelle is also very pretty and not overly popular, but doesn't quite make a top spot on my list.

Daniel is fine, just way too common for my preferences (one of DH's best friends is also named Dan, so, yeah).
Landry...sounds like a last name. Not a fan.
Peyton is obnoxious, and I dislike it even more for a girl (too bad it's one of DH's niece's names!)

  • Camille - Pretty and on my list, but DH has nixed it.

    Faye - NMS.

    Noelle - NMS.

Daniel - Absolutely not. DH asked me why I am so vehemently against this name...it was my stalker ex's name...he is now vehemently against it, too.

Landry - No. I feel like the kid would get called Laundry all the time.

Peyton - It's on our list, but others (like family names) would get used first.

  • Camille - pretty but nms

    Faye - no, unless you're 80

    Noelle - pretty but nms

Daniel - love, but it's a family name that's already in use as a first name and middle name so I won't use it

Landry - nms. It also reminds me too much of laundry.

    Peyton - nms

  • Faye is my middle name and I hate it.

Noelle is pretty.  Daniel is okay, but too common for me. I like Peyton, but I wouldn't use it because I wouldn't want people to accuse me of being an NFL fan ;)

  • I like Camille but would probably do Camilla instead. It's on the shorter list. Landry is nice but DH would probably nix it. Dan has been ruined by my job and the rest are nms.

  • Camille - Pretty, I prefer Camilla, but wouldn't use it.

Faye - I like this as a middle name, but I have so many others I'd use first.

Noelle - Pretty, but wouldn't use it.

    Boys:

Daniel - No, I know too many complete losers with this name.

Landry - My hairdresser named her daughter this, so I didn't know it was a boy name. It's NMS anyway though.

Peyton - I prefer this as a girl name, but it's too popular in my local area.

  • Camille - I love this name.
    Faye - no
Noelle - I love this, too! I guess I like French names!

    Daniel - NMS
Landry - My cousin named her son this; I hate the name (but love the kid).
Peyton - Never. It would be blasphemous (Patriots fan who hates anything Manning-related)

  • I love Camille/Camilla.

When I was pregnant for the second time, we'd chosen Daniel for a boy. I don't know what that loss was, but I had this feeling that it was a boy.... So now I won't use the name.
