Hey everyone.
So this weekend, H and I are traveling from houston to NYC to meet with a specialist for H's back condition. We will finally find out when he will need spinal surgery and what all that will entail.
We have been waiting for this appointment for years. H is getting pretty anxious about it and I am too.
Not to mention my immense hatred of flying, thankfully we booked nonstop flights.
Any vibes you can throw out would be greatly appreciated.

We met with the neurosurgeon on Monday. He explained everything to us fully and made a specific treatment plan. We try prescription drugs for a month. If that does not work we move on to lumbar nerve blocks. If it still does not work we then look to surgery.
H is not thrilled to try the prescription but he needs to for at least a month to see if it works.
The most frustrating part is that upon leaving, the secretary gave us the scripts for another MRI, and the nerve block should it come to that, but did not print up the pill prescription. We didn't notice til later and I tried to call but could not get through to an actual
person. We flew back to texas the next day. I finally got ahold of someone who informed me that since it's considers a controlled substance, they cannot simy mail the script. She was supposed to call me back today when the doctor would be in again, but ice heard nothing. I called no less than ten times and kept getting routed to voicemails. So very frustrating.
The good news is that his doctor is starting his own practice next month so he can do more teleconferencing type treatment since 95% of his patients travel to him, so I'm hopeful that we can figure something out about the script.
