Yep I need to whine or vent. So we are sort of house hunting. A house was listed on the 8th. We both agreed that it had 95% of what we were looking for. It was like pulling teeth to get him to go look at the house. We went this afternoon. All day he kept making comments about not wanting to go. I'd say if he didn't like the house then we wouldn't go. He did like the house. So we were going to go. Blah! So annoying.
Went, like it. Needs a little work but it was all work we are okay doing. Drive home and decide to put an offer in. He texts the realtor and she lets him know the owners are reviewing offers tomorrow after 5:00 and there are several with a few over asking price. Happens a lot in this market. We don't want to go over asking so he didn't go forward with the offer.
I'm frustrated because it's like not even trying. What if they liked our offer? What if the higher offers don't work out? Ugh! It's so hard to find a house in our budget with that much of what we are looking for. Good schools, great location, two car garage, 3 bed and an office, a nice yard, the square footage.
He is so slow in deciding to even go look that usually the houses we like are under contract by the time he wants to look at them. I don't want to rush into a house we don't like and I spend a lot of time looking at what's on the market and don't even point one out to him unless it's super close to what we want.
Re: Whine Post
Are you using the realtor I sent you?
When we bought our house D didn't even see it and I put an offer down. We had looked at dozens and that was the best for the price. He loved it when he finally did see it. Maybe P can let you do the majority of looking at houses. It works as long as you have a great understanding of what you both want.
He's a buyer that wants a buyers market. He wants time to look more than once and a week to think about it.
