Fruit Trees

Anyone plant any fruit trees and have any recs on where to buy/order them from? I'm on the hunt for apple, peach, pear and possibly nectarine trees. I'm afraid of getting duds, so I'm looking for some personal recs. I'll buy local or order, and am willing to pay a bit extra to not have them start out as twigs that will take 30 years to produce. :-P

Re: Fruit Trees

  • I casually know the gentleman that owns Quality Gardens on Rt. 228 in Valencia.  We get all of our seasonal flowers for the church from them (Mother's Day baskets, Easter Lilies, Tulips, Hyacinths, and Poinsettias.)  They have always been very good quality.  We actually still have a leftover poinsettia that is still living.  Each major holiday we celebrate it and set a new goal.  Not sure after Labor Day what it will be.  :-D

I know they offer lots and lots of variety, including shrubs and trees.

Good luck.  I love peaches!  I would love to have a peach tree, but have an innate inability to grow things!
