Hello ladies. I used to post here (early-mid last year), but deleted my account. Since then I have left my husband and started dating someone new. Things are moving slowly with us, but I miss sharing recipes and fun food stories with you.
Anyway, I'm back! I'm 23 and love to bake and cook. My ex was not an adventurous eater, but my boyfriend will try anything at least once- being with a foodie like me is so fun!
I've mostly been baking lately, and have actually been asked to start selling my cupcakes at work, which is fine by me! I can't wait for the cooler weather to get here so I can start cooking my favorite foods: hearty soups, stews, and comfort foods.
Helloooooooo again
Re: re-intro
i think you are on to something here, women always look at me like i have 10 heads when i say i cook almost every night, and then if i say that i meal plan, watch out! You'd think the world was ending or something
When I was married, I cooked every night!! After I moved out and only had myself to cook for, I stopped cooking "real" meals (I mostly heated up little things for myself, or made stir fry or soup or something).
BF and I go back and forth staying at each other's houses, so buying groceries and cooking just doesn't work for our schedules.. We usually go out to eat for almost every meal (eek!). We are huge foodies and can afford to do it, but we're hoping that we can stop that habit when we move in together in January.
@ashleybunny8- i hear you on the meals when you aren't living together, it makes things more complicated. I'm sure you'll go back to it once you are together all the time.
I get so jealous when I hear others talk about their memories of cooking with their moms/grandmothers and the recipes that got passed down. I am trying to learn how to cook and bake well (some medium and hard recipes and techniques) so I will be able to pass them down to my future kids and grandkids.
We also meal plan, which really helps us cut down on our grocery budget every week. We set a $60 budget for each week, and we meal plan accordingly!
