Seasons OB?

Hi ladies,

I know this is more of a Bump question, but this board looks like it might get a little more traffic. :)

I'm looking into have baby #3, and with Highmark insurance I might have to change my plans on where to deliver. I delivered my first DS as a medicated birth at West Penn. The birth was pretty horrible, but postpartum was amazing. DS2 was born at Magee with their AMAZING midwives. Birth was awesome, post partum was terrible. I'd go back to Magee just for their midwives, but I saw that there's a newer group of women that deliver at West Penn. Seasons OB, anyone? I would love to go back to West Penn if I could be assured I wasn't going to have pitocin, epidural, strapped to the bed, etc. (That's the way my 1st OB did it, and I would cringe going back to those ways.)

Anyone deliver with Seasons? Are they a little more natural birth friendly? Let you walk? Use the tub? Or are they much more 'medically-focused' I guess you could say?

Any opinions are greatly appreciated!

I LOVE the doctors at Seasons.  I actually followed them from UPMC.  I had Dr. Yester and dr. Kridgen for deliveries at Magee.  I have not had a delivery experience with them at West Penn.  But they are a great group of women!

  • This was my practice when they were still at UPMC.  I absolutely adored these drs.  If I didn't have high risk issues which required me to deliver at Magee, I would have changed practices for baby #2.  Dr. Bishop delivered my daughter.  I truly loved every dr in that practice.
