Is it too early for a Halloween costume discussion?
My little one just wants to be somebody with freckles....My big dd wants to be Abby Cadabby, which I would have to make. I'm worried though that I'm going to start making it and then the kids at school are going to tell her that's a baby costume and then she won't want it. Or is Sesame Street still ok in kindergarten?
Re: Is it too early for a Halloween costume discussion?
DD was strawberry shortcake when she was 3. We drew freckles on her.
Merida has freckles, so does doc McStuffins. And not that your dd would know her, but Punk Brewster had freckles.
I sort of want to steer H toward a Harry Potter costume, but we'll see what happens.
Jake wants to be (and I quote): the football robot. You know, mommy....that little robot that jumps up and down and runs across the screen when the steelers play??
It took me a few minutes to interpret that one, but then I realized he was referring to that NFL computer animated robot thing that is on screen when games air on Fox. ???

Some of our friends always have a great Halloween party, so I was just thinking about costumes this morning. I want to do something as a family, DS will be almost 1 at Halloween. I haven't had any ideas yet though. Last year I was pregnant, so I went as Padme from Star Wars when she is pregnant in episode 3. DH and my brother went as the Blues Brothers, which was my idea by the way, and they won best costume. The year before that we did Harry Potter (I was Bellatrix, DH was a death eater). Adding a baby is tricky!
Dd's bday party was frozen and she dressed like Elsa so I already have some accesorries (homemade crown, snowflake clips and sparkly snowflakes for braid). I just found a jewelry set too.
So clearly not too early for me!! But with the frozen insanity I was NOT waiting!
We did Abby Cadabby before, made Pom poms out of yarn, daisy barrettes and light blue tutu from sydneysosweet.com, purple wings from the dollar store and a pink shirt.
Another PSA about Elsa I went to another JCP and they had a bunch of Elsa and Annas, not a ton of size variety but I imagine they are going to have some stock. And a friend told me that party city has a lot of frozen accessories.
