For sale: Silk dupioni wedding dress - sweetheart, A-line drop waist, $1200
I’ve never worn a dress so figure flattering, or that made me feel so beautiful. The boning gave me a waist, the bust and neckline gave me cleavage… this dress made me look (and feel) like a million bucks! Before my wedding I spent 100 hours searching for the perfect wedding dress (yes, a little embarrassing!), and this is IT.
The dress is drop-waist with an A-line skirt and a chapel length train. The material is a superb pure silk dupioni, and matching covered buttons run halfway down the back. The high-quality silk makes the white color creamy and rich, and also means that the dress is light and easy to move and dance in (unlike many wedding dresses I tried on!).
The dress is completely ready-to-wear; it comes with removable bra padding and already includes a bustle. I took the dress to a professional wedding dress cleaner 56 hours after the wedding, so it’s in great condition except for one tiny stain on the skirt, hidden by a pickup, some light remaining discoloration on the underside of the train, and two small tears in the crinoline petticoat underneath the skirt (all of these are invisible in looking at the dress on a person). Bust: 32-34 (depending on whether you use the padding!), waist 26, hips 33, height with shoes 5’5″ (with additional material left for it to be lengthened if necessary)
