SuBC book from the reading lottery: Reconstructing Amelia
I read Reconstructing Amelia for the SuBC task to read a book from the reading lottery. I enjoyed this book, it kept me guessing until the very end. It hit home for me because I have a half sister who is in high school now, and things are just so different for high school kids now than when I was in high school. I am so grateful I grew up without social media or the constant connectedness that kids have now. When I was in high school if someone was mad at me or didn't like me, I could go home and forget about it until the next day. That isn't an option anymore, and this book showed the dark side of that. I also really liked Kate's character, I thought she was a very relatable version of a working single mom. Thanks to whoever recommended this!
