Starting School Gift?

My daycare provider's daughter started kindergarten and I'd like to get her a special "good luck" gift. Any recommendations? I'm drawing a complete blank. She has a book bag and all the school supplies she needs.

There's a book I got at Target a couple of years ago... I think it was "The Night Before Kindergarten" or something along those lines. Take a look at Amazon for books with the word "Kindergarten" in them - there are a few cute ones, if memory serves.

Or, maybe a little photo book that she can put pics of her first day in? I know our first dc center put a little book together when Gavin changed Centers with pics of classmates and him at daycare. to this day, he still enjoys going through it.

Ditto the Night Before Kindergarten.  My mom actually got dd a version that is a sticker book.

Another couple book ideas, mrs. Bindergarten gets ready for kindergarten and of course there is always Barenstain bears goes to school book!

Dd's preschool teacher gave her a cute little princess keychain/zipper pull thing that we attached to her backpack zipper and she liked that.

What about fun new accessories to wear to school: handbands/clips, jewelry. Charming Charlie and Claire's have some fun kid jewelry that isn't too expensive

DD thought that a zipper pull toy was the most important school accessory.  She also got a my little pony "diary" that she could write about her first day in.

along the book idea- some of those step 1 or 2 reader books.  By the time EJ was done with Kindy she could read those herself!

Thanks ladies! I went with the Berenstain Bears book, Miss Bindergarterten, and some princess zipper pulls.
